What's Asexuality? - From a Non-Asexual Perspective

This is an interesting and illuminating video about someone who isn't asexual sharing their opinions on asexuality and how that affects the way they view sexuality.

Even though there a few inaccuracies about asexuality, the person in the video seems very open-minded as well as eager to learn more about it. They also acknowledge their confusion toward asexuality and provide insight on why people unfamiliar with asexuality ask invasive questions such as "Do you masturbate?"

They're open to hearing from asexuals themselves so if any of you wanted, you can comment on the video and answer the questions they pose or talk about your own experiences being asexual.

As much as I wish people could just accept asexuality with no questions asked (or at least, no non-invasive questions), it's always exciting to see people who are open about it and are genuinely inquisitive.

Thanks for sharing!

I'm untisexual and about 90% asexual. I can't endure any erotic or porn pictures. Even while still being a kid I would switch off any film showing kissing actors. Whenever my libido starts bothering me I feel very uncomfortable, almost ill. I use valerian-mint herb tea to cool down my libido and recover from suffering. I like to feel free from sexuality.

How the guy initially described asexuality is actually exactly how I first perceived it to be when I first came across the term (it only makes sense, given the etymology), so I can't blame him that much for being confused about it.

Alas, I no longer have a youtube account to comment with, because of their whole Google joint operation that caused me to have issues validating my account that they were unwilling to help me resolve.

Great find! It was very interesting indeed :) And he bring up some good points about confusion about what asexuality is, and how it is to read about it for the first time.
