Porn disgusts me a lot.

I think it is mostly oppresive towards women. They are pictured there like sex toys who are in the world just to please men, and the worst part is - many people are so brainwashed by porn that they really believe women are unworthy as girlfriends if they are not willing to do what is in porn. It changed the view of what is normal in sex, and it has not ended yet. Men very often use porn as an example and blackmail their girlfriends with disgusting nonsenses like: "Look, that pornactress is able to do X, Y, Z (insert very difficult, degrading or disgusting thing instead of X,Y, Z) and you can´t do it? And you say you love me?" and so on...

It influenced my view on sex, the influence of porn on people who watch it scares me and I´m paranoid and afraid to date sexual men because they might start to force me into porn-sex.

And I have to add one more thing: porn is responsible for many, many mental problems of people who feel inferior because they don´t have so "sexy" body, or so big boobs/penis like pornstars.

I don't understand why they always tend to hire people who are unnatural for the fetish involved. It seems like they never get anyone who would actually be enjoying what they do. Other times I simply wish that the people were fatter because they are always super skinny and stuff.

Porn videos do not "disgust" me; they are a tool. I don't know if porn is "oppressive to women". Firstly, 'oppression' and its synonyms, are not strongly condemning terms. Used in a utilitarian sense, I don't witness an oppressive component in porn directed at a specific gender. I am a male.

Due to my hyper aro-ace orientation...I've never 'had' a gf. However, I'm confident that what I witness on a porn site does not dictate my image of "normal" sex....whatever you believe that is. As for stating that "men very often use porn as an example and blackmail their girlfriends of disgusting nonsenses...", is itself nonsense...and offensive to me! I cannot understand your paranoia regarding acts of penetrative sex. I can only suggest you watch the other things they get up to. Be warned; they are only acting!

I find porn to be an awkward subject. I understand other people experience sexuality extremely different than I do, and I respect that. They can't help what appeals to them on a biological level, but I find it quite boring most of the time. I don't find most people to be attractive in porn, or in my everyday life to be honest, so it loses me easily. I don't want to see most people naked, much less having sex. However, I do sometimes enjoy watching hentai on rare occasions, mostly because there are situations which apply to fetish and focus more on humiliation or psychological aspects than physical. Not to mention the characters are more visually appealing than people in porn in some instances. As a general rule though, I don't really look for porn.

I have engaged in sexual displays online for cash before, but I always felt like I was scamming them, which is kind of how I feel porn is for sexually inclined people. If they want to have sex, and looking isn't the same as touching (as I hear so often,) then why do they want someone to show them what they can't have and only admire from afar? It's very confusing to me.

I don't feel porn is in itself oppressive to any gender or sex, but the attitudes people have towards it and the way the industry is often run certainly are. I didn't find it oppressive to do cam work. I found it kind of amusing to see people's reactions, though I got really bored of the things I was asked to do. I'm not sure if more sexually inclined people feel differently. It's different when you're in control though. I think if people want to do porn and can have a say over what they are willing to do and not do, go for it. Sadly, I don't think a lot of places allow their workers to do that. Cam work and industry run porn are very different. If people feel a need for porn and want to make it/watch it, good for them. It doesn't bother me. What bothers me is the way people get treated for having done any kind of sex work. It's just sex, not a big deal, the majority of people do it, so who cares where or how they do it? I don't know. I'm just an alien who sees sex as an activity people do that isn't anywhere near as awesome or complicated as they make it out to be.

It depends. If i am randomly aroused i find certain parts stimulating, but only VERY specific things. If i am not randomly aroused it does nothing but make me feel disgusted.

Porn is... never arousing. sometimes interesting. kinda informative. most often boring. Like, maybe for a minute or two I can look at the women on the screen and go 'hmm, those boobs are fake. That ass is too small. THAT ass is prettier. Ha, she looks like she doesn't really wanna be there. Wow, pretty nose.' etc. ... but then I lose interest fast.

I do look at hentai doujinshi scanlations online quite often. I find it much more interesting than live-action porn. The scenarios, the expressions, the reactions to things, all so incredibly exaggerated. The stuff the characters sometimes say is HILARIOUS.

Hentai also usually has more controversial and/or deviant forms of pornography than live-action porn can manage. Its much more interesting.

Probably one of the main reasons I like looking at doujinshi is that oftentimes the artists will spend such time and care on what they're drawing. I can really admire lots of the techniques they use to line, color, plan out panels, etc.

I've never watched porn and don't ever want to. From what I've heard, I don't think it typically portrays anything close to "real life" sex. Yes, I believe that porn degrades women (I suppose it degrades all the actors in some way regardless of gender), unless someone wants to make amateur porn that deliberately doesn't degrade people (not sure if that is possible). And yes, knowing that porn exists has changed my view of sex--it makes me realize just how sex-obsessed some people are, that they feel the need to watch other people doing it. It cheapens sex and certainly flies in the face of the "sex is something done by two people who love each other" idea that many of us hear as children. I don't even like seeing people put their arms around each other, kiss, etc. because it seems so private and intimate, so I definitely don't want to see people having sex.

I've recently watched a TEDx talk that has great thoughts about how hollow and artificial porn feels because there are no hands (sensuality) and no feelings involved.

People like to think that sex is more than "piece one goes into piece two, rinse and repeat", they feel this act can be done with feelings and care. While porn is more about performing piece one into piece two for an incredible amount of time and as roughly as possible. That's the part where people say porn isn't like real life sex. I get that it might not make much sense to an asexual who sees that from the outside and sees the same thing being performed, but people relate to what they know and so they have feelings involved, which they find lacking in the porn.

I don't like heterosexual porn for that reason, it seems to be all about guy dominates girl.
