My reaction to it...absolutely disgusting and downright degrading! Some people used it a stress unload or release whatever its called. Well i can think of probably ten and more actvities that i can do to relax and enjoy myself, rather then to watch a porn movie.

I have nothing against porn, but I also don't watch it very often either (can usually find better things to do with my time LOL)

I see it as pretty much fantasy.

As for the questions at the top:

How do you feel while seeing porn pics or watching porn movies?

<couldn't pick one . only watch if I'm feeling sorta horny to begin with>

Porn...

<couldn't pick one . see it as just fantasy>

Is porn oppresive towards women?

<don't know, never watched a straight porn, I've heard it is though>

Have you ever considered porn a source showing true sexual life?

<no>

Has porn ifluenced on the way you percieved sex?

<no>

It's just plain gross and degrading to me (to both sexes really, just in different ways)

It's also pretty "useless" to me, being nonlibidoist and all.

I don't watch porn but I've seen pictures and I sometimes read erotica.

The reasons I don't watch porn:

1) I've read that it's not realistic, and I don't want to bother watching something that portrays a kind of sex that doesn't exist in real life.

2) I've never really seen sex onscreen, even in a movie, and I don't want to "scar" my mind with something I can't ever un-see. God knows how it might damage me.

3) Porn ruined my dad, it was probably at least partially responsible for his becoming a rapist. I'm terrified of turning out like him (just because I'm a bio female doesn't mean I can't become dangerous, right?) so I don't watch porn.

4) Most porn seems to be oppressive of women and sets up unrealistic "standards" that most woman can't live up to. Ruins relationships. Don't see why I'd want to support that.

5) I don't feel like I should be seeing real people do something...private. Erotica doesn't present this problem for me since the characters are made up.

I don't watch porn. I have watched porn, but I find it to be quite unexceptional. It doesn't get the blood pumping or the heart racing. More along the lines of a mundane thought like: "Do I really want lasagne for tea?" I don't think it is oppressive toward women. Granted, the stuff I have watched is pretty run of the mill stuff, none of this "specialist" stuff that Frank at work can get a hold of, and because of that I simply see it as adult women making a decision on something that they want to do. And get paid for. There are a lot of men who suffer from being involved in the porn industry and they rarely do anything about it. They all make the decision to get in to it, they know what it involves, and they can all make the decision to get out of it.

Like I said, "run of the mill stuff."

And a NO to the last two questions.

Pornographic images are pure images. Wanna-be images. There isn´t any link to the real world, but just a deep aspiration to try to see that imaginary link. It took a long time for me to understand that. Maybe millions & millions of us are victims of that kind of pornographic error?

What is real sex like if it isn't like porn?

It depends on the person/people involved.

Lately I've been grossed out by porn so I don't watch it. Sometimes for the third question and no to the last two. Porn is nothing like real life, although some men wish it was, and my opinion on sex hasn't changed much. I have my own views.

Tried it once out of curiosity. Most boring 30min of my life. Oh yes, also gross.

I laugh at porn. Especially "lesbian" porn. Like, in what universe is what they're doing considered satisfying?? Lol!

Every facet of myself is utterly disgusted by pornography except my labido which has intensified my distain.

One glaring criticism that comes to mind is the effect that it has had on this generation of sexuals where the act of physical intimacy has been replaced by violent humiliation endured by the female engaging in the act.

Many young teens are educated almost solely by porn due to the absence of sex education classes during this time of their lives and carry the misguided opinion that what happens during these videos is an accurate depiction of lovemaking. Regrettably, it is not.

I agree completely. Porn has replaced Sex Ed.

I've only watched porn twice (out of anthropological curiosity) and both times I have found it to be initially really disgusting and then incredibly dull. As a whole I found it really ludicrous.

Yeah so again...what is it like if it isn't like porn.....people always say " it is different". Well what does different mean?

Also I feel really guilty because I find Asian girls super pretty and unfortunately there seems to be a disproportionate amount of Asian porn stars so I am I guess contributing to that problem.....

I like porn, but I mostly only watch queer porn. I don't like heteronormative porn, including lesbian porn that is made for heterosexual male consumption and completely misrepresents lesbian sexual engagement. I prefer porn where it appears that the people know each other and have some sort of loving bond. It's hard to explain what I mean but there is a difference between two people who just met having sex and two people who have some sort of affinity for each other having sex. What else...I like porn with men who moan and a lot of verbal communication. I like to see people's faces, I'm not as interested in the genital shots and I find that porn kind of annoying because I want to see the emotional change in their faces during the process of sex. I don't watch it frequently, but probably at least once a month.

Did you mean so called 'feminist porn' made by women directors ( f.ex. Erica Lust)? I've seen some footages of this one and what's the most suprising, it didn't make me gross. I agree with the pornj view on lesbian sex. It's very homophobic. Men and women shown in feminost porns just look nice and more natural and their feeling are also more natural too.

The only time where it felt good for me it was more meaningful, I knew the person well, it was passionate and had real emotions. Porn is more degrading, fake and really unrealistic. Although casual sex felt more like porn to me.

Many people have different opinions on what 'real sex' is supposed to be like but I will share my own. Real sex, to me, consists of two people sharing equally in a mutually gratifying emotional and physical experience where as the acts depicted in pornography are part of a product that has a target demographic made up mostly of men. Because it is a product that targets mostly men, the scenes created reflect the ultimate hetrosexual male's fantasy, the woman are often petite and have had the sexual parts of their body surgically amplified to ridiculous levels. They also have heavy makeup applied and both the female and her male counterpart usually have had all their body hair removed to create a more 'flawless' appearance.

This is a bold contrast when compared to real women, the majority of whom have not not surgecally modified their bodies for the sole purpose of increasing their sex appeal and do not adorn heavy makeup. Women in real life come in all shapes and sizes and often would not fit into the mould of a "porn star" which is a good thing.

Leading on to the act of intimacy itself, I will start by repeating the fact that this is a product created to sell hetrosexual male's their ultimate fantasies; the acts performed are rougher and more intense than sex in real life and the women are mistreated and are encouraged to look as though they are in pain because, to put it simply, some hetrosexual men desire to do or see things done to a woman that most would never consent to and for good reason. A pornographic film has more in common with a wrestling match than actual sex. The above statements can also be applied to gay porn as well.

I like porn, but I mostly only watch queer porn. I don't like heteronormative porn, including lesbian porn that is made for heterosexual male consumption and completely misrepresents lesbian sexual engagement. I prefer porn where it appears that the people know each other and have some sort of loving bond. I am unsure what 'feminist porn' is like but I am aware of some 'female friendly porn' which sadly, is just like the above but with the genders reversed where the man is the one being mistreated and abused.

I am not in favour of banning porn but it can't continue to be made so accessible to young teens who don't understand that it is a performance and not an accurate depiction of true intimacy.

I'm not sure what porn you're watching- maybe you are confusing fem-dom porn for feminist porn? They are not one in the same. Fem-dom porn is a fetish, mostly heterosexual men consume it, where the female dominates the man in sort of a BDSM sense. Feminist porn, which also intersects with queer porn, tends to just focus on enthusiastic consensual, non-violent, pleasurable sex that does not demean anyone. Feminist porn an queer porn tends to be closer to what real sex is, and is often actually just a lot of home tapes and amateur porn made by real queer couples.

Is there any good girl only stuff out there made from a female perspective? If so I'd love to see it.

This may seem strange. In real life I am completely repulsed by anything to do with sex, yet I can and do, on occasion watch blue movies. Yes, I will accept that they can be demeaning to women, but I only watch simple non-fetishistic non-voiolent stuff. I have a libido, just not a sexuality and sometimes porn does have its uses.

90% of all popular porn is too unrealistic to be able to make me feel anything. I need a realistic context to be able to enjoy porn. Everything feels fake. I can enjoy more "fantasy" porn in erotic books though. Maybe it's easier for me to fantasize through words.
