Also, thank you to everyone who came for making it as unstressful to lead as I could've hoped for. (Apart from Oppy ravaging me with grass. ) And especially thanks to the meet-up virgins and people I'd never met before for being awesome. I had an awesome time. (I ought to vary my adjectives a little... nah. )

There definitely has to be another in Liverpool!

Hey No Celery,

Just wanted to put my thoughts to you on what was a truly fantastic meet. Thanks for making it such a fun and enjoyable day (especially the grass fight). No seriously, I was most impressed with you today, especially how you really went out of your way to make the newbies feel welcome, the results of which were shown in how the entire group gelled together and got on with each other. You should feel really proud of yourself after today. You did a fantastic job!!

Nice to meet and remeet all the people who were there. I hope to see many of you again at future meets. Sorry I didn't say a proper goodbye to all of you but my train was about to leave.

It was good to see Richard and Judy's old hangout in the flesh (the Albert Dock) as well as the museums.

Back from my 5th AVEN meet this month!

Here are the pics:



The mood was jovial. Lots of new people.



This meet saw the birth of the asexual goody bag, the contents of which will be revealed later to non-attendees below.



There was an article in a recent copy of Investors Chronicle which mentioned that restaurants were struggling in these adverse economic conditions. But there was one exception – Chinese Buffets are doing roaring trade, and is positively correlated with the growth in asexual membership. So much so, that the Association of Chinese Buffet Proprietors is spending £2.5million on raising asexual awareness in the UK.



Why did the asexual goody bags cause such delight? Well, here the contents of one bag is emptied on the table. Now you see why some people's jaws dropped to the floor of the cellar of the pub, 19 meters below. Each bag contained around £80.00.



On the march - The Northern branch of ALF (Asexual Liberation Front). Sometimes I wish I had my paintball gun with me.



OperaGhost is planning a northern 'Asexy Dirty Weekend', and looks like his preparation work is going well. Oh - LilMissShy and Sunshine-Sky are also at it.

The food was awesome! A goody-bag (whichwas a brilliant idea by the way) , an all you can eat buffet with pineapples, cakes, muffins.... NOM!

Many thanks to Cassie for organising a great day, to Joshua for the goodie bags (the Rolex watch doesn't seem to be telling the right time though), to redtail for the cookie cake and to everyone else for attending.

The whole day was a blast and it never ceases to amaze me how uplifting it is just being around other A's, so much so I almost felt like dancing....

Then again we are a pretty special bunch -- 1% and all that. My advice to anyone who is thinking of attending a meet is TRY IT.
